John Bowen

I am a  Professor at the Department of Geography at Central Washington University (CWU). I am an economic and transportation geographer with particular expertise in the airline industry and Southeast Asia. I have published several books and many refereed journal articles and book chapters. My books include:

At CWU, I teach a variety of courses including World Regional Geography, Human Geography, Economic Geography, Transportation Geography & Planning, Geography of Asia, Quantitative Methods, and Resource Management. In 2019/2020, I was a Fulbright US Scholar in Myanmar and taught geography courses at Yadanabon University in Mandalay.
